Dec
2009 and Jan 2010 - Round the World again with Sarah & Will |
My job as ambassador for Bobtails involves making
sure all the unwanted rabbits and piggies over the world
have a nice Christmas. It can be very stressful at times,
so, after delivering all the carrots and greens, I stopped
off in Singapore for a cheeky Singapore Sling at Raffles.
Then
my well deserved holiday really started. I caught up with
some friends in Perth, Australia
I
was so tired I could barely hop, so my kangaroo chum carried
me. It’s at times like these when you find out who
your true friends are.
It
turns out that naked kangaroo riding is illegal in Australia,
but we made it all the way to Melbourne before they caught
us. Luckily I only spent a few hours in jail and was released
on the understanding that I would not ride a kangaroo again
and that I would wear some clothes.
I
continued my holiday, fully clothed, but a bit hot, by doing
the Great Ocean Drive. Here I am by Split Point lighthouse.
Even
I can’t compete with this scenery.
Wow, the 12 apostles are breathtaking.
I
found some cooler clothing, more suited to the climate, and
stopped off at Ramsay Street for a quick cameo in Neighbours.
They did offer me a permanent role but I am getting a bit old
now and I need to retire.
“Dillon” from
Neighbours was so desperate to have his picture taken with
me and Sarah. I find the fame all a bit embarrassing really.
After a teary goodbye to Melbourne I had a few
days in Tasmania. I hopped up more than 200 steps to get
to see this view of Wineglass bay.
Then
I had a few days in Sydney. I feel so at home here, I wish
I could stay.
Sarah and Will insisted
we went to Luna Park. Frankly this photo is just wrong. |
Well, that's it, time to put my feet
up and enjoy my retirement! Thank you to everyone who has accompanied
me on my travels over the years.
A final stop in Las Vegas. It was so
nice to get back to normality! |
