October 2004 - Sir Parsley visits Greenfields Rescue and Virgin Atlantic with Lorna Field
Sir Parsley on his way to the house of Sir Richard (Branson) for a party! He has his ticket there as you can see. I was angling to actually get a picture of Sir Richard and Sir Parsley together but Sir Parsley was so busy flirting with all the girls at the party and swigging the free champagne that he got a little tipsy and we had to take him home before he embarrassed himself... some bunnies just cant handle their drink can they?....
Sir Parsley spent a day helping out at the rescue. We made sure he wore his apron so he didnt get a mucky bun, and one of his first jobs was to test the softness of the straw bedding. He was supposed to help cleaning out after this but he was still there 3 hours later snoring his head off after which time he declared the bedding "very comfortable indeed"...so at least we are getting that right!
Sir Parsley helps Jamie with laying the slabs in the rescue. This is to give an even base for the new bunny cabins to stand on. Sir Parsley: "So, do I have to sit here until the concrete is dry then?"
Next up and Sir Parsley was off to spend the day at Virgin Atlantic Airways with Lorna, at London Heathrow. Sir Parsley was very keen to try all aspects of the job. Here he is on the radio to the departure gates to see what the status of the flights are.
"Ground agent Sir Parsley to all gates, are you receiving? Over."
Next Sir Parsley went to visit the baggage department. Here he is helping to make a report about a damaged suitcase so that the customer can claim on their travel insurance for it. His role was vital here as the finished reported stated: "On arrival the case was found to have dent of approximately the diameter of a small rabbit...."
After his visit to the baggage department Sir Parsley realised the value of always making sure your luggage is well labelled. He decides its best not take any chances with his own safety.
Sir Parsley gets a lesson on check in from Senior Passenger Service agent Lori and deals with his first customer. "Tickets and Passports please"
Now that he is a dab hand at this travel lark after his trip with Ingrid Tarrant, Sir Parsley decides he will see if he can go on a flight. There are seats available on Virgin flight VS1..or was that VS BUN to Rabbitville USA and Sir Parsley opts for trying it on for an upper class upgrade. "Well....I'm not really an economy rabbit...."
Unfortunately Parsley forgot his passport and couldn't go but as a special treat, he was allowed to sit on the Upper Class Check-in desk with Lorna and look important for a while
Sir Parsley was shatttered at the end of his shift and had to hitch a ride home on Lorna's Bag!
