November 2006 - The 4 seasons of gardening - Season 1 - Autumn/Winter
Even though it is November, some container plants are still
in full flower.
But some are in need of replanting. Like this rabbit basket.
First,
the iris bulbs – a lovely shade of blue. They
nearly match my jumper.
Then the cyclamen. What a difference! I must come back in
spring to see the irises come through.
Now for the allotment. This must be dug now to stop too many
weeds growing next year. Looks like hard work.
Look what I have found! I thought these came from supermarkets.
With a little help from my friend here.
Now for some lunch. This looks like a row of dandelions,
my favourite, but I have been told it is a French salad leaf
called pissenlit. Yummy.
This sweetcorn
looks dead, so we will have to pull it out and replace it
with my second favourite food…………
Cabbages! I will definitely have to visit in
the spring to help Clem and Arthur, 2 Bobtails bunnies, eat this
lot. |
And this is them. I wonder who will eat the most! |
