July 2005 - Rhubarb goes to Scotland in the search of the
Lock Ness Bunster

Having been given the opportunity
to visit Scotland, I thought on behalf of the bunny population, I would
investigate the whole “Loch Ness Bunster” theory.
I searched high and low. I think this is what you call a chicken – I
certainly had to watch his beak. It wasn’t the beast
I was looking for, so I continued searching…
I changed in the back of the
car into my kilt (well I was in Scotland) and stopped off at Eilean Donan
Castle. I was King of the castle for the day! No monsters
here, although whoever took this photo was a bit naughty – you can
see up my kilt!
I certainly didn’t need to worry about bumping my head on the door
frame – well not until I’m a bit bigger anyway.
Trying to fit in to my new surroundings
as best I could, I grew a beard, bought a “Jimmy” hat and put
on a new pair of shoes. I looked like a proper Scot.
I took the high road and then
took the low road, singing as I went. But there were still no monsters
in sight, just woolly sheep.
I quickly discovered that the
Scots like a good old drink. I made lots of new buddies and if you look
very carefully, you can see me in the very centre of the picture. We all
looked very smart in our kilts.

Continuing my search for the monster,
I thought I caught a glimpse of something in the water………… drats – it
was just a rock sticking out!
Then I finally saw it. He even
stopped swimming to let me have my picture taken with him! What a funny looking
bunster – where are his
ears? May be he’s a lop. Anyway, satisfied that my trip had been a success,
it was time to come home.
Until next time.
Och aye th’ noo! Rhubarb
