The Club is moving forward, we had a very good start to this year with most of the committee being re-elected and membership increasing.

We have a very good selection of boats but as ever with our squads growing we will be looking to purchase at least one new boat this year.

Membership fees have been kept the same as last year. This has been largely due to the efficient running of the bar and an increase in social functions. We have also been very successful in attracting a number of sponsors.

Sir William Perkins's school at Chertsey are looking to start a rowing section and have asked SBC to participate in this. This will of course put demands on boats and coaching staff. We are looking to put eight existing Staines members through the Instructor Award training course during May.

The club house re-building fund is now standing at a healthy £20,000

Anyone wishing to join the club can contact any of the officers listed on the web page or just come down to the club house, which is open most evenings, Saturday and Sunday mornings.
