The 13th annual Staines Boat Club Pubs and Clubs Regatta will take place on SUNDAY 4 th SEPTEMBER 2005 and is open to crews of four women or four men that have not rowed before or have rowed only as part of a losing crew in previous Pubs and Clubs events.

The boat club will provide boats and a cox/coach to train each crew. Training takes place during late July & throughout August, with each crew allowed up to 5 x 1 hour sessions on the water. This is usually sufficient to ensure success on race day.

On regatta day, separate events will be held for men and for women with heats taking place throughout the day (commencing approx 9am). The course is about 350 metres long and is completed by most crews in less than 2 minutes. All crews that are unsuccessful in the first round of the Cup event will be entered into the Plate event so that each crew has at least two races.

Entry costs only £120 per crew (£30 per seat) and includes temporary Staines Boat Club membership and the use of the club’s facilities throughout the training and race period. There are prizes for the winners of the cup and plate competitions.
