Membership
2007/2008
SBC has a variety of
memberships to suit all from the avid (every day, all week, come rain
or shine) rower to the social only (the bar will suit me just fine)
ex-rower. Listed below are the main memberships that are available. If
you happen to be a complete beginner then please contact the Captain, Craig
Twaddle.

Our Membership Secretary advises ----- We've created the attached
questionnaire for future active
membership enquiries. Please complete it and bring it with you when
you first come to the club.

Discount for existing competing
members who will not row at peak times. May row only at times

not compete for the Club at open events. Members wishing to change

Notes :
- The membership category of Country has been discontinued and such
members must join as Supporter members.
- POA - Price on Application - see Membership Secretary.
- Rowing year is 01/03/2007 to 28/02/2008.
- Competing members who do not renew will not be permitted to race
in ARA events from March 1st 2007.
Boat Rack Fees : £100.00 per boat (1x)(2x/-)
(indoors) £50.00 per boat (1x)(2x/-) (outdoors)
Payment Methods :
Cheque : To be paid in full by end of March 2007, or by 3
post-dated cheques (March 1 st, April 1 st, May 1 st 2007), and made
payable to ‘STAINES
BOAT CLUB’. Rowers competing in heads during March must renew
beforehand.
Standing Order (Social Members Only) : £40
will be debited from your account on March 1st each year until you/SBC
decide to cancel (see enclosed form).
Bank Transfer
: Please add your name as a reference in the transaction so that the
Treasurer knows who is paying, e.g. REF: SUBS 2007 - YOUR_FULL_NAME.
Payment is to STAINES BOAT CLUB, BARCLAYS BANK PLC, 71 HIGH STREET
STAINES, TW18 4PS, ACCOUNT: 70844209, SORT CODE: 20-81-11.
A reminder of rule 6.1 regarding membership which states:
'The 1st March shall be the qualifying date in respect of age for the
various categories of membership. Subscriptions shall be payable by the 1st
March in each year by either Standing Order or direct to the Treasurer. The
name of any member whose subscription remains unpaid or has made no arrangements
to pay by 1st June shall be posted on the notice board in the Clubhouse and
he shall be debarred from the benefits of membership until his subscription
is paid. A surcharge may be levied on subscriptions not collected by 30th
June, and such surcharge shall be determined by the Committee. Any member
whose subscription remains unpaid by 30th August shall be posted as a defaulter,
and shall cease to be a member of the Club, and remove their property and
equipment from the Club immediately.' |
