The Masters or Veterans Click here for Veteran Classes and Handicap System The older elements of the rowing fraternity have a section at the club to cater for their own particular needs, and individuals over 27 can now row and compete as a Master. The men's section is particularly active during the year, training and competing regularly. Wins were recorded recently at Henley Veterans, and Molesey to mention but two. Three crews also took part in the World Masters Regatta in the Czech Republic, with excellent results. Do not worry if you have been "laid up" for a few years
as all abilities are catered for in a variety of crews from the top
flight through to those simply wish to stay fit and take part in the
occasional race. Training sessions are normally at 8am Saturday and Sunday, though these are rearranged to suit social/ family commitments- so we are friendly. Exploits of at least one of the boats can be followed under "Tales from the River Bank" on this site. If you require further information. Please contact our Veteran Coordinator, Clare Wood.
