A Night at the Oscars!
Well Spring has finally arrived and it is customary at this time to turn our attention to the most important of events in the rowing calendar. You’ve probably guessed I’m not talking about the Boat Race or Henley! Yes it’s the Annual Dinner! A precedent was set last year when Sara Sweeney organised an awesome dinner at Dorney Rowing Lake. Well we’re back there for another year and it’s going to be absolutely fan-bloody-tastic! The night is going to be given over to the stars of the big screen (and Staines Boat Club’s own stars!) Sadly the Cirque Du Solei were unable to take a break in their hectic schedule to perform for us (guess who stayed up to watch!) but we will have live music, a casino, champagne and of course the main event, The Oscars!
Tickets will be £40 each and you can reserve these now either by filling in the form online or by contacting me on 0208 8421209 either way have a look at the the form to see what information you need to reserve your tickets. The menu is below and I need to know when you reserve your tickets if you need a vegetarian option. Dress is black tie and there will be a coach to and from the boat club if we get enough interest. We are also hoping to have a raffle and auction the proceeds of which will go towards the club boat fund so any kind donations will be greatly received! Lastly the fun starts at 7pm for a champagne reception so don’t be late!
