Don't level those big
guns at my particular philosphy hoping to demolish it. My defence is showing
you how those salvos, when delivered even by 'experts', are often
inaccurate.
Opinions? Long before men went into space one
Astronomer Royal: "Space
travel is bunk! Utter bunk!" Patent Office many years earlier: "Everything
that can be invented has been invented." Celebrity? "It's impossible
to get hurricanes in this country" (Met Office). Then why is Britain
called the hurricane capital of Europe?
Science? Theorems from axioms (assumptions).
Mathematics? Irrationalists, Transcendalists etc. Genii? A capenter proved
Isaac Newton wrong concerning longitude. Einstein? Clocks slow down under gravitation
or acceleration just as a fat man would slow your breathing by sitting
on your chest. 'Time' is
not a substance. If you are stationary and you see a moving clock showing
time slowing down or speeding up it's simply reflected light. Light is external
not internal. (Not forgetting the 'rubber sheet' of space!) Incontinent!
Intelligent in their thousands? Japanese and Hindus clap their hands to wake
their gods. In their millions? '666 - the mark of the beast'. Even
if almighty god existed would such an ominscient, omnipotent god go around
branding people with three sixes like some old cowpoke working on a ranch?
Prelates, primates, dinosaurs and dodos! Blind obedience: Abraham was willing
to sacrifice his son Issach to an invisible god.
Trust? "We've been eating GM crops for
years, surreptitiously fed to us - including wheat for decades."
Forensic science. "Finger
prints are unreliable because their accuracy has never been measured."
Medical science? "Stem cell therapy can cause
cancer. Stem cells can turn into tumours."
Guardian Angel? Swans have enough trouble
getting airborne! Your guardian angel, your alter ego? Consider multiple
personalities where "an individual,
depending on which personality rises to the surface, will develop allergies,
skin rashes, rhuematism, stigmata, etc; etc. Those manifestations will just
as quickly disappear when that particular personality subsides." You're
never alone with an alter ego! Still feeling lonely? Well, we are growing
further apart: television, telephone, teletouch (tangible reality), law? "Hanging
offences in 19th century Britain: stealing a spoon; writing on Westminster
Bridge; damaging a fish pond and so on."
"Causes of madness: squeezing a pimple".
Today "The neurological
study of emotion." Studying millions of cells and millions of sparks
will reveal millions of cells and millions of sparks. Look at the end result
- a hand reaching for something: emotion. Fancy words like 'Hippocampus'
explain nothing. Find a fancy word for "jigsaw". When you look
at the brain as a whole you get the picture. We are like other animals. Count
the number of fingers/claws on other species - lion, bear, aligator, like
us 'five'.
Everything takes time? True. "Euclid's flat geometry remained unquestioned
for 2000 years." But when you feel that someting is wrong, your
response should be like "greased lightning". As I have enough
paper left I will specify my next two sources: Express News - "Princess
Diana's Death - embalming was done to destroy evidence of pregnancy; alcohol
test of driver never verified; CCTV of crash site never made available..." And
of course the only survivor, the bodyguard, coveniently lost his memory.
The higher they are the harder they fall.
'Sunday Times' 19.02.06 (and "Science") "...Psychosurgery
for personality disorders. Children , 11 and 12 yeards old are having brain
surgery for being 'sullen.' Thousands performed every year in US
and UK. A high court can order it without your consent.
Psychocivilising society by drilling holes
in the skull and pushing electrodes into the brain. Dali Lama, addressing
scientists in Washington DC, favours brain surgery for 'every day' people
in order to elimiate such emotions as jealousy etc. "Like coring an
apple" as one brain surgeon
put it."
The Silence of the Lambs. Why people are
not protesting by marching in their millions I don't know. Probably because
people just do not love each other enough. The reason why we still need
money. Build a totem pole of copper, silver and gold with rolled-up fifty-pound
bank notes for dreadlocks. We could all kneel or dance around it!
Sex? Sex is to reproduce, to continue contrast
- change - emotion. (consiousness) Pleasure? Many species simply lay eggs
which the male then fertilises. No congress take place. No intimacy, no
intercourse. Human? "Many women
lose their sex drive at the menopause when ovulation ceases"
There's my cannon. My artillery is commonsense.
Contrast - Change - Emotion. Politics and Religion - you're wrong, I'm right! Anything for a punch-up.
